Festo VUVG new range of valve terminals that has a huge range of electrical and pneumatic connections allowing users to have a configurable flexibility in both control and installation.

The VTUG multi-pin terminal is easy to apply in a universal device that also has a high flow rate and very high pressure for a small unit. The Festo VUVG is connected and controlled by a D-Sub or ribbon cable connectors for connections to IO-Link networks as well as fieldbus and industrial Ethernet protocols. Several pneumatic port options are available and the manifold can form part of a control cabinet, therefore lowering assembly times and lowering costs of needing separate gland plates to get tubing in and out of the cabinet.

The Festo VUVG can have up to 24 valve positions in just the one terminal. It also have two 3/2 valves in one position and up to 48 functions are available on one manifold therefore saving space and simplifying machine building. The valves can operate from -0.9 to +10 bar and by creating several pressure zones they can support positive pressure and vacuum on one manifold. OEMS can switch between external and internal air pilot air without having to choose before the terminal is built.

The terminals operate with air filtered to 40 microns, so only one air filtered is required, unlike other systems that need three filters therefore using more energy.
