Festo’s ELGA is an extremely strong and rigid toothed belt axis. It provides very high force feed forces and flexible motor attachments. Therefore saving both time and money.

This linear drive combines a plain-bearing guided belt drive which is suitable for positioning lighter loads rapidly.

The Festo ELGA belt drive is also protected by a magnetically attached stainless steel cover that guards it from the ingress of dust. Festo belt drive has a service life of up to maximum of 5000km, which is available in three profile widths -70, 80 and 120mm as well as providing high force feeds as high as 1300N at speeds of up to 5m/s as well as accelerations of up to 50m/s². The axis can be specified in working lengths of up to a maximum of 8.5m.  The Festo ELGA arrives ready - to install and is perfect for handling, feeding and conveying applications in the electronics, food and packaging industries, when customers need quick positioning as well as fantastic feed force performance. The new Festo belt drive has proven reliability and is made from a polymer that gives it outstanding sliding performance, without the need for lubrication. This therefore means that it can be used in environments where the grease could cause an issue. This drive is also perfect if it needs to be used upside down due to the magnets contained within the drive. The Festo ELGA linear drive is using the established technology of Festo’s EGC linear axes they are strong with fantastic rigidity. The pinions are manufactured from stainless steel therefore reducing the wear from the belt, therefore providing the ELGA a long service life of up to 5,000 km. It is available in three profile widths - 70, 80 and 120 mm - and supplies high force feeds up to a maximum of 1300N at high speeds of up to 5 m/s and accelerations of up to 50 m/s2. The axis can be specified by working lengths of up to 8.5m.It possesses a versatile motor connection where the motor could be attached to any of the four corners. Therefore, the position will not need to be given when ordering, allowing it to be simple to handle and install. Simply fit the drive and it is ready to use. Festo ELGA linear drives are easy to  size and order using Festo’s free Positioning Drives software.
