Weidmuller Relays > Weidmueller’s new TERMSERIES range.

Weidmueller Products have just released their brand new range of modules and solid state relays.

That have one or two changeover contacts, they are thin, with screw or tension clamp connectivity.

Weidmueller relay modules are enclosed in only 6.4mm and 12.8 mm widths.

As the Weidmuller relays are so small they only need a little space on mounting rail. As well as being space saving it means that you could use even smaller electrical cabinets.

Weidmueller relay modules and solid state relays can be combined if needed as well as reliably switching loads to a maximum of 8 A at 250v. Weidmullers Termseris relay modules can come with gold contacts that allow for switching low power loads. The Termseris range also has pluggable solid state relays these are ideal when reliability and freedom from wear is needed. Customers can exchange or replace the modules easily during maintenance procedures, without having to disconnect the wiring which can be time consuming. Customers can choose between products that have fixed voltage inputs and a special multi-voltage input version. By being able to choose a multi-voltage input allows signals from 24-230V AC/DC to be conditioned using only a single module. Therefore this lowers storage costs and a universal connection can be used to the field level.

Weidmueller’s multi-voltage input version can be very useful when used in the process industry in which a wide range of signals of various voltages are emanating from the field as well as having to be isolated. Relay modules are normally installed in an electrical cabinet that has been tested. This normally needs lots of different relay modules that cost money and time. By using the Weidmueller Termseris range you only need one relay module.

Weidmueller’s modules come with a choice of either a screw or tension clamp connection. The housing makes sure that equipment markings are highly noticeable as well as having different colour coding to be able to instantly recognise the different voltage version. Customers can also select the double-printing option to allow the markings to be easy to read.

Another interesting feature that Weidmueller’s TERMSERIES have are a large variety of versions that will suit all sorts of applications. All of their relay modules and solid-state relays have matching contours as well as a universal connection solution, this also includes universal cross connection solutions including across  partition plates. You can even cross-connect screw and tension clamp versions. TERMSERIES can cross connect all product versions across all five connection levels therefore lowering wiring times.
