Measuring Light Curtain produced by Leuze Electronic complete range available through Electroquip Optoelectronic measurement technology does not have to be complicated. Consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, SCAN light curtains operate much like a light barrier. Infrared beams projected from the transmitter to the receiver produce a grid-type measurement field. The status of the individual light axes (”light path unobstructed” or ”light path interrupted”) is stored in the receiver. This data is then transmitted via serial interface and an PLC driver program directly into the working memory of the connected PLC control, where it can be further processed depending on the requirements of the application. For performing simple detection tasks, the presence of objects in the measurement field is indicated by means of a pnp output.

The ROTOSCAN RS4-4E by Leuze is a non-contact optical area scanner. Like a radar laser scanners permanently scan the complete field of work in an angle of 190° and a radius of several meters and so monitor a two-dimensional area. Within this work area independent detection and warning zones can be programmed with PC software. Persons entering the detection zones will be detected and an emergency stop signal will be generated for machinery.
The applications of the ROTOSCAN RS4 4E are the protection of persons by vertically safeguarding danger points and access as well as danger area guarding at stationary machines and mobile systems.

The position of moving plant and machine parts can be measured with previously unattainable accuracy using the new Leuze AMS 200 laser distance measuring devices. In addition, a logical design concept offers simple operation and maximum ease of installation.
Optical distance measurement based on the light propagation principle using red light laser is a tried-and-tested method for permanent position sensing of moving plant and machine parts; such as, for example, rack handling systems, portal crane gantries, traveling trolleys or transfer bridges.
With the Leuze AMS 200 Absolute Measuring System, Leuze electronic is setting new standards in accuracy, data transparency, handling and design. Measured positions are reproduced with millimeter accuracy up to a range of 200 meters. Thanks to the most modern laser technology and manufacturing processes, extreme accuracy of ±3 millimeters is ensured over a measuring distance of 200 meters.
The reduced tolerances of the devices in relation to each other allow simpler replacement and eliminate the need for teach-in of positions in installations of similar precision.
The functionality and design are also unique. By combining laser technology with the most modern signal processors, the user receives an image of the actual values which can be used for positioning control circuits.
Interfaces for Profibus and SSI are included as standard. Interface for power, programmable I/O and control functions are via M12 connectors accessible from the front.
The operating display provides access to current measuring values, set parameters or warning messages. Operation is intuitive by means of four buttons. An integrated alignment unit which enables easier positioning and adjustment of the laser is part of the design concept aimed at simple access and greater setting convenience
